    • Parks and Recreation Facility will have designated Entrance and Exit.  Having 4 doors in the front of the building, 2 doors to the left will be temporarily designated as the entrance and the two doors to the right of the building will be temporarily designated as the exit.  This will largely minimized people crossing paths in close spaces.
    • Programs scheduled in the following rooms:  STEM Room and Room 15 can enter and exit from the exterior doors associated with these classrooms (Front of the building).  This will further minimize the flow of people to the main entrance and will isolate the participants to their exact location without going through the building.  Room 16 participants will exit from the emergency exit in the back of classroom.  Pre School Summer Program for ages 5-6 will enter/exit from refuge area in the rear of the building.  Programs using room 3 will have the ability to enter and exit from the side door of the room.
    • Hand sanitizing stations to be set up in foyer of the main lobby. Ordered an additional 9 touch less hand sanitizing wall mounts for classroom usage.
    • Currently installed 15 new touch less paper towel dispensers in restrooms, pre-school class rooms and fitness rooms.
    • We have canceled gymnasium activities.  Hoop House Basketball Camp, Senior Men’s Basketball, Men’s Summer Basketball League and Mike Small Basketball League.  The scheduling and amount of participants will most likely not be conducive to social gathering criteria.  This will severely cut down on the foot traffic and will allow us to focus on the first step of small group instruction in isolated class rooms.
    • All high touch surface areas to be wiped down and sprayed with cleaner/disinfectant at scheduled times during the day.
    • Hired summer maintenance staff to focus on in house cleaning and disinfecting of mandated areas and equipment.
    • Work closely with the third party cleaning company that they are using EPA approved cleaners and disinfectants.  Increase cleanings of mats in gymnastics and fitness rooms.
    • Limit participation enrollment limits to meet the guidelines provided.  Each classroom is individually isolated.
    • All health fitness participants will be required to bring their own yoga mats.  (Majority do now).  All equipment used will be required to be wiped down with the provided antibacterial & disinfectant spray and or wipes.
    • All health fitness rooms will be outfitted with touch less paper towel dispensers and antibacterial/disinfectant spray, along with wall mounted hand sanitizers.
    • Front office is currently set up with plexi-glass separating the office staff from the public.  We have event stanchions set up in front of the window with a designated area marked on the ground for participants to stand.  There will be no hand to hand transactions at the window at this time and customers are to drop registration in drop box on side wall of the office.
    • Front office already equipped with hand sanitizer for employees.
    • Office staff to wear masks as required by State of CT and CDC Return to Work Criteria.
    • Fitness classrooms to have designated areas for participants to meet the required social distancing measurements.Seating benches within building will be marked for seating every six (6) feet to comply with social distancing measures.
    • You will see an increased time between classes to allow for proper cleaning and disinfecting of equipment.
    • The air flow will be increased within the building to allow for more fresh air to enter during the course of the day.
